What type of fragrance is used in Proactiv Solution products?
The fresh, clean fragrances in Proactiv Solution products are RIFM (Research Institute of Fragrance Materials) approved, which signifies that these fragrances are unlikely to irritate the skin.
What is the definition of "prescription grade?"
"Prescription grade" benzoyl peroxide is generally more finely milled (smaller particles) and is suspended in advanced "vehicles" that allows it to penetrate pores more evenly and efficiently. This higher quality medicine is found in Proactiv Solution and in prescription acne medications.
How does Daily Oil Control work?
Daily Oil Control uses our unique "microsponge" technology - a combination of several ingredients, including finely milled silica powder - to absorb facial oils. Excess oil is collected by the "microsponge" system and is washed away when you wash your face.
What is SD Alcohol 40-B?
SD Alcohol 40-B is a topical anti-bacterial agent that is used in our Daily Oil Control formula to dissolve surface oil.
Do Proactiv Solution products contain steroids?
No. Our products do not contain steroids.
What are the grains in the Renewing Cleanser made of?
The granules found in the Renewing Cleanser are made from polyethylene. They are not harsh, abrasive plant-based grains or ground apricot seeds. These smooth, tiny grains unclog pores and gently buff away oil, dirt and dead skin cells while helping prescription-grade benzoyl peroxide to penetrate beneath the surface of the skin.
What is Xanthan Gum?
Xanthan Gum is used as a stabilizer and thickening agent in our Renewing Cleanser.
What is Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, and why is it used in the Refining Mask?
Magnesium Aluminum Silicate is known as a "suspending agent" which is important for the overall stability of the Proactiv Solution Refining Mask. It also has the ability to act as an oil absorber. It has been used extensively in liquid makeup for well over 50 years.
Does Proactiv Solution test on animals?
No. Proactiv Solution acne treatment products are not tested on animals.
